Final Idea

Final Idea

As all of the ideas are based on the results from the primary and secondary researches and we had discussed possible ideas for the video beforehand, all of the ideas are similar to each other. Thus, the final idea is more of a combination of all of the ideas with few changes to be more rational.

The video will not start straight with the song; the first few shots are of people inside a train. Three noisy girls are in focus and few reaction shots of other passengers with ambient sound. This cuts to the platform where the main character is. The camera pans from a close up of her feet to her face to establish her Punjabi background when she talks on the phone. She hangs up and gets on the train, puts her earphone on her ears and turns on the music. She starts dancing to the song on her own. Close up and two shots in the train inter cut with close up shots of girls putting on makeup and accessories. The three noisy girls join the main character (Chaiya) dancing to the song.

Chaiya gets off the train, still dancing and grooving to the song. Chaiya dances down the high street getting reactions from people around. Some people join in and dance with her. This inter cuts to 4 dancers, previously getting ready, now doing a dance routine on the song in a dance studio. Chaiya walks into a chip shop, still grooving to the song, gets chips and dancing on her way out. While she is waiting for her chips, she is still dancing and another customer joins in and so does the people behind the counter.

She dances her way through the park. While passing a woman who is walking her dog in the park, the woman starts dancing with Chaiya. While the 4 dancers are in their routine, Chaiya joins in the middle and leads the group. At the end, Chaiya looks into the camera and winks. The whole idea of the video is to send a message to the audience that the song is like a virus and Chaiya is the medium spreading it to people who know how to groove.
